Optional Xplay compatibility diagnostics

If repeated calibration measurements suggest a touchscreen sensitivity issue, the Android app may ask for your permission to send a compatibility report to XTIM.

The report contains the smartphone manufacturer and model, Android version, app version, calibration measurements from both attempts, the diagnostic result, the report date and consent information.

Each report receives a randomly generated reference used to prevent duplicate submissions. This reference does not identify your phone or your user account. The report does not include your name, email address, phone serial number, Android ID or Bluetooth MAC address.

Sending this report is optional. Refusing does not prevent you from continuing to use the app. With your permission, a report may be stored locally and retried when you next open Xplay if the initial transmission fails.

Bluetooth and permissions

Bluetooth and nearby-device permissions allow the app to detect and connect to your drone. On older Android versions, location permission is required by Android for Bluetooth scanning. The app does not use this permission to determine or track your geographical location.

Use, storage and security

Reports are used to analyse touchscreen compatibility and improve Xplay. They are transmitted over HTTPS and stored on XTIM’s server. They are not sold or used for advertising.

Hosting providers may process data on XTIM’s behalf. Server infrastructure may also retain technical access logs, including IP addresses.

Data retention

Compatibility reports are retained for as long as needed to investigate touchscreen compatibility issues affecting supported Xplay configurations. Reports that are no longer needed are deleted or anonymised. Anonymous aggregate statistics may be retained for longer-term compatibility analysis.

Flight recordings

When you enable flight recording, CSV files are saved on your smartphone. These files are not automatically uploaded to XTIM. You may choose to send them separately when requesting support.

XTIM has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.
